I've tried to think of great things to cheer me up when it comes to rain... so here goes.
- Bright colored rainboots/wellies (must get some of these)
- Bright coordinating umbrellas to match said rain boots (maybe I'll go with green boots I already have a green umbrella)
- Getting cozy under 2 blankets because you've felt cold and damp all day
- Soup, Chili and other warming comfort foods (we made my Chicken Taco Soup last night)
- When rain hits the roof and it puts me to sleep (but I don't like thunder storms when I sleep)
- Changing into comfy clothes after a long day of being cold/damp and wet!

oooh, could you share some of your rain with us?? I live in southern Idaho and we haven't seen rain in months! For a Seattle girl, that's quite a drought! I have to say though- cold, gloomy days just make me wanna bake. A lot. I gain some serious poundage every winter! lol
Thanks for stopping by blog today- I love yours too!

Thanks for stopping by my blog Kelly!
Rain. Is that the wet stuff that falls from the sky? ;) We don't get much of that here in So Cal so I miss it immensely. I bet it makes it beautiful and green there!
The rain over there is just plain crazy! I hope things clear up.
I was just thinking about how much better my soup tastes when it rains, so I guess I'm thankful for that :).
Thank you all for stopping by - and you're right. I should be thankful, we are usually in a drought this time of year and all summer long. This summer was much cooler than usual. I feel for all the people in GA I bet they'd gladly send you rain!
Sara I'm the same way - I want to bake (everything dinner/cookies you name it) and veg on the couch. Unfortunately that doesn't pay my bills and I have to go to work, but it makes coming home more inviting.
Soup and chili are my favorite things to eat when it rains Kasey!
Fitness Freak you're welcome - I hope to gain a lot of insight from your blog!! :)
Thanks for stopping by!! It's okay that you're an Alabama fan! :) I have a close friend who is one too and we have fun with it! lol
Thanks for the comment though, I completely agree. As rude as SOME Gator fans can be I would have never done that if someone else got hurt. It's not about the game at that point.
BTW you have a new followerer! Your blog is adorable! :)
Thank you Sonja! I'm a firm believer that if one team of the SEC does well, we all look good. (I wasn't but my boyfriend brought me around to that way of thinking). I'm not a fan of Mr. Tebow but I do wish him a speedy recovery that's for sure!
Thank you for following! I am following your blog now as well! :)
Hmm, I must hear more about this chicken taco soup you speak of.
Jules - check it out a few blog posts deep into my blog. (Her Last Supper) the recipe is in there. It's fairly healthy - unless of course you dump 3 lbs. of cheese in yours like I tend to do ;)
I like your list of happy thoughts in the rain. I love a fun pair of rain boots and classic yellow rain jackets, they are spots of cheer in an otherwise dreary day!
I so understand, and we have had a season of this in the northeast...
Well I will probably be adding tons of cheese, everything is better with cheese (=
Oh, I left you an award over on my page (=
