fixation friday: lemons

Wow... what. a. day! I've been so busy at work and I nearly forgot about Fixation Friday. Without further delay, here's this Friday's Fixation...

LEMONS!
I love lemons.

I love the way they look.

Note: I'd really love something like this that read...
"When life gives you lemons, just say F*CK the lemons and bail!"

I even love THIS Lemon...
As in, SERIOUSLY, love this Lemon.
She's one of my fave women, ever!

I love the way they smell. And how much flavor they add to my favorite dishes.
Like SEAFOOD!!!! *DROOL*

We already know I love lemon with my sweet tea, and my sweet tea vodka. We established this last friday, but I also love THIS...
via google • aka COME TO MOMMA!

Lemons are delicious, delightful and inspiring - at least to me. (Note: I love all citrus fruit equally, and feel the same way but lemons truly win every time for style). I mean how many of you love yellow as an accent color in a room? Hands down it's one of my favorites! Next to turquoise of course. I want to start using more lemon yellow in my home, very badly.

How can you not love this....

And lastly... this kitchen that makes my heart sing.
All it's missing is a farm house sink, IMO

Plain and simple...

I hope all of you have wonderful weekends planned. M and I are taking it easy and trying to save some money. I hope the weather will smile on us tomorrow. We'd love to take our dog June to the creek to play, and possibly window shop for plants for our garden around town. M and I had discussed a ride out to the country but I think we'd rather wait for warmer weather for that. We'll probably get into some "mild trouble" with our friends Saturday night and ride out the rain all day Sunday on the couch. Afterthought: I just realized that this weekend is Wrestlemania, which means I will have a home full of dudes watching this monstrosity masterpiece. OK I can't lie. I do watch it with M from time to time but usually we have a lot more people coming over for this event. We make a party out of it but this year I think it's going to be mostly guys that M went to high school with and always discussed wrestling with. Fun for him, not so much for me. Maybe I'll make it a movie night.  Although the one movie I really want to see this weekend he wants to see as well sooooo I will have to wait for Hot Tub Time Machine until he's able to go. BOOO!

Have a great weekend!!!

I do LOVE lemons. And while I hadn't thought to use it as an accent color in decorating, I think I will start. It's such a happy color! And I'm re-stringing BFF's necklace from her grandmother with some lemon yellow cat's eye beads that make me smile every time I look at them. I consider this a perfect way to kick off the weekend...yellow for everybody!!

My girls and I are plotting our trip to the dollar theater to see Hot Tub Time Machine. Can I even express to you how righteously excited I am about this?? I'm considering peglegging my jeans just for it.

I also am privy to When life hands you lemons, take them and throw them as hard as you can at the offending party.

I could use more yellow in my home, too. Come to think of it I have none. Hmm.

Allyson - I LOVE YOUR PINCH ROLLED (what we called it) JEANS IDEA! I'm so happy to see John C. doing something funny. He'll always, always be Lloyd D. to me! Yay for yellow beads!!!

Micah - Girl I knew you would enjoy this and agree. You're the queen of yellow! ox

Monique - I like the way you think. I would think tossing those lemons would be GREAT stress relief!!! Honestly I have no yellow either, and it makes me ill. I have been trying to find the perfect yellow candles for my dining room to off set all the navy and beach stuff. THE HUNT IS ON!

Meredith - I LOVE limes as well. Limes and water sounds damn good!!! I will have to try that. I love lime beer, and I love lime juice on food as well. Lemons and limes make me happy!

Oh my, Liz Lemon is my absolute fave. I want to be her when I grow up.

When I was in San Diego at a conference, my colleagues and I attended a party hosted by NBC. They had free lemon-drop martinis in honor of Liz. Definitely my favorite lemon moment:)

I am currently smitten with the color yellow. I've been slowly adding accessories in this cheerful shade to my dining room, living room and great room. It's the perfect color for spring and summer.

A girl after my own heart! Yellow is my favorite color and I love lemons so much I sometimes just eat them. And, turquoise is currently the accent color in my Living room and it's invaded my closet, and kitchen, and jewelry box...

Does Key Lime pie counts? Cause I'll trade that for any chocolate dessert any day! My friend has an obsession with Lemon heads...maybe thats why she has 4 boys...under 5 yrs old...2 of which are 3 month old twins...yeah, she is a Lemon.

So, I saw HOT TUB TIME MACHINE yesterday and it was the funniest movie I've seen in FOREVER. We laughed out loud the entire way through. So well cast and super duper funny. You'll love it.

I love that we have the same humor... :)

Ok you are too darn funny. I also love lemons. I drink lemons in my water and tea -- the more the better. I don't even put sugar in it -- just lemon it up and go. I also <3 liz lemon, that show is so funny.
