a public apology.

Sometimes in life, technology fails. Like today, at work our phones are down, they have been all day. Not just our phones, but the phones up at our main office are dead, as well as many other businesses locally. We've been told a fiber optic cable somewhere was compromised. To be honest, I've enjoyed the silence.

Other times in life, like today, it's user error. Today's example is email, my email to be specific. For months now, since I changed the title of my blog, I also switched my contact email. The new email was a blog friendly email, to be used for others to contact me and for me to contact them back.  Seems simple as pie right?

In reality it is, all it takes is the user checking the email daily, even monthly. OR even better, you could do like I thought I did and have the second email automatically forwarded to your personal account.

I said thought, because I truly thought when I opened my new account that I had set this up. JOKE'S ON ME! I logged on today just for the heck of it and there they were 200+ emails sitting, waiting for someone to read them. HOLY CRAP I thought, that's a lot of junk mail. Upon looking deeper I realized these were not junk mail but in fact emails from readers and responses to comments I made on other blogs. Over 6 months worth of emails.

Needless to say I feel like crap for this. So this is me telling all of you that contacted me I'm truly sorry!

I emailed most of you back - maybe not EVERY single email but I tried me best to at least send ONE email back to each sender explaining my mistake and trying to respond to any questions.

I have fixed the problem, now all the Turned Up To Eleven emails should be forwarded directly to my personal email account. At least I hope it's fixed because I don't want this to happen any more in the future.

Tune in tomorrow, where I talk about a new triumph in technology. This one is an epic win, unlike my email epic fail!

Thanks again for your patience, understanding and hopefully I can learn to laugh a bit more at this.

I loved getting ALL of your replies today. You're awesome.

I have my blog email getting dumped into my email, but I really need a new name for gmail and all of my social media sites. I'm half hotpants, half mistylovesvamps and I don't want to be either anymore. But handbagsandhandguns is just too wordy for everything. Hrmmm...

This is so funny because earlier this week my husband was doing some site maintenance stuff for me and I heard him start laughing. When I asked what was up, he said, "I have never seen this many emails, do you have any idea how many emails you have?" I have everything forwarded to my personal account so I guessed 2,000... um, 11,000. Wow. I really need to get over there and clean that sucker out.

I had my blog email forwarding into my regular one, but I was only getting like half of them! Some were going into junk and some just didn't move at all. It's so weird. I had to separate them and now I'm lame because I can't find time to check the blog one regularly. I'm so terrible at blogging lately.
