a soldier's coming home.

As some of you may remember a year ago I posted a blog about my cousin, L leaving for Iraq for a year. I'm thankful, happy and so proud to say that the year is over and he arrived back home last week. Safe, sound and into the arms of his wife and two adorable daughters. I couldn't be more proud of him, his unit and all our troops nationwide. Please continue to support the men and women of the U.S. Military and thank them daily!!! And while you're at it, don't forget the men and women that stand beside these soldiers and hold down the fort for them while the troops are away. Like my buddy, Ally!

Cute story, a week before L was to arrive home some military helicopters flew over their home. His oldest daughter looked up and said to her mom. "I wish daddy was on one of those helicopters and could just parachute down to be with us."

Family Reunited!
This image makes me melt. I love you L! oxox
I am so happy to have you home!

It's the little things in life that mean so much,
but what means even more are the people in our lives.
I want to personally thank my cousin and all the troops
for everything they do for us, our freedom and our country! oxox

Now you know I can't hear "a Soldier coming home" without thinking Dixie Chicks, right? What are you trying to do to me today?? I love and hate that song all at once. I am so grateful that God has brought L and his unit home safely. I hope everyone arrived home safely. A big hug and thank you to L and his family for their sacrifice this past year and for the years to come. I love this picture! And thank you for the shout-out, darlin'! I feel the love all the way over here in GA! xoxo
