winter day dreaming.

If there is one thing I miss the most about the East Coast (besides the most important things - family/friends/etc), it's a true winter with lots of snow. I started thinking about this the other day and realized it's been over 5 years since I went snowboarding. This realization made me extremely sad. There aren't any ski resorts that are close to where I live right now. If I wanted to have a snowboard adventure I'd have to travel and stay the night - both things cost $$$. And spare $$$ is something I don't have a lot of right now - If I did I'd be hijacking the plane to T&C to see my lovely friend Lauren get married in a few months).

I thought that since I can't go snowboarding right now... I'd take some time to window shop all the fabulous snowboarding gear and clothing online. This made me even more sad - I found SO many great things that I'm dying to buy... if only there was snowboarding in my future. In the meantime I can dream and watch one of my favorite (snowboarding) movies over and over again... Out Cold. If you've never seen this movie see it now - it's so funny and full of stars before they hit the "BIG TIME" - and the Soundtrack is great.

For now I'll keep winter day dreaming and wishing for snow and all these items...

burton feather board

gnu board • I love the owls on this but
hate that my bindings would cover most of them.

love this jacket - although white may not be my best color
I'm extremely messy and fall down sometimes.

I adore this sweater - it looks so cozy. And how cute is her hair? *jealous*

This is the perfect cozy - wear over everything sweater! NEED!

I would start posting hats and scarves but I'd be here ALL. NITE. LONG!
I have to get in the kitchen and try to attempt to make my first cheesecake ever for M's b-day tomorrow!
Wish me luck! ox

I have always wanted to learn how to snowboard. After 24 years of using two feet, switching to one might be hard!

I love that stripey sweater the most!
And I think you need to start playing the lottery or something. It would be more fun if you were thereeeeee.... ;)

Girl I KNOW! Trust me I've gone over it in my mind a million times. Only catch I'd have to play the lotto in TN - Alabama doesn't "allow" the lottery to happen here. Wife - try it... It's SO fun - I've NEVER tried skiing ever in my life I hoped on a snowboard first. After a few falls (ok a LOT of falls) I got the hang of it, and I miss it SO much!

OMG ! I miss skiing so much. I have been living down south for 10 yrs and that is how long my ski's have been collecting dust ! Every yr I say I want to do a ski trip but it is very costly !

I'm glad I'm not alone Ashley!!! I keep thinking about trying to hit up the slopes when I'm home but M doesn't snowboard or ski. He doesn't want to ride the lift and I'd hate to leave him out of the fun. My ex tried to snowboard but always got frustrated. One day I'll get back to the slopes, and you will too! :)

My husband worked for Burton for a while in VT and they let their staff help themselves to ANYTHING in the company store and take it out to use, at any time. They also offer up free passes to just about any resort and alllll the slopes. We've often talked about maybe one day moving back up to the New England area and he could go back to work there. We're thinking when we are older though and after we have kids.
